You don't need to tidy up before a cleaner arrives — that's what we're here for. But a small amount of preparation helps us work faster and more thoroughly, and it helps you get exactly the results you're hoping for. Here's what actually matters.
Before we arrive
-
Declutter surfaces
Put away personal items and clear countertops and tables. The less we move, the more surface area we can actually clean.
-
Secure valuables
Store jewelry, cash, and important documents somewhere safe so there's no worry for either of us.
-
Note problem areas
Tell us about specific stains, delicate surfaces, or rooms that need extra attention. A quick note goes a long way.
-
Secure pets
Keep pets comfortable in a safe area during the visit — it's safer for them and lets us work without interruption.
-
Provide access
If you won't be home, leave entry instructions or a key arrangement so we're not waiting at the door.
A note on "cleaning before the cleaner"
You don't need to vacuum, scrub, or wipe anything down first. Picking up and clearing surfaces is genuinely all we mean by prep — it's about removing obstacles, not doing the work. If a room is too cluttered to clean properly, we'll simply do what we can and let you know.
Regular visits get better over time
With a recurring cleaning schedule, we learn your home and your preferences. Each visit gets a little more efficient — and your home stays consistently clean instead of cycling up and down.
